Comrade, if you are a new student in the Brokelyn Institute, one of the first lessons you will learn from Uncle Sapa is that you will need some “aspire to Maguire” motivation from time to time, as you will almost always be on the edge, close to snapping point.
As an old student (thank God for grace), we have past questions. In this article, we have put together a few effective inspirational quotes that will give you just the right amount of uplifting for your down moments.
We must warn though, these are just words, not your ticket away from sapa. No go lose guard!
“Being broke is a temporary situation. Being poor is a state of mind.” – Mike Todd
No condition is permanent, especially sapa. Even if you and sapa have been attached to the hip since the dawn of time, it will still leave you. Once your state of mind is “money moves and steady grinding”, trust me, sapa is just for a while.
It will pass, ma fo!
“Who soak garri for morning fit chop pizza for night” – Resident yahoo boys.
Your garri plug is tired of you, but that doesn’t mean you will drink garri forever. You sef go chop pizza one day when you blow. Your turn will come but for now take this award. You don try abeg.
“Tough times never last but tough people do” – Robert H. Schuller
So long as your skin is tough like ponmo, sapa cannot do anything to you. It will only try to bring you down but it will not enter you. Odeshi! When you sight sapa from afar, no fear. You are tough enough to handle it!
“Being broke is a very efficient educational agency.” – Edwin Lefevre
People learn lots of lessons when sapa hooks them. If you ever find yourself on the battlefield with sapa, just remember that you are receiving quality education – the kind that is not disrupted by ASUU.
You learn better spending habits and other useful things. So be a good student and learn what sapa is trying to teach you.
“Being broke is against my religion.” – Curtis Jackson
Chant this quote whenever you are broke. Let it remind you that being broke does not align with your religion and know that the Being you serve will not watch you go broke.
So, relax. You are not broke; your creator is just doing a temporary update in your life.
“I’d rather be broke and have a whole lot of respect. It’s the principle of it.” – O.C
Or would you rather be disrespected? Since you have self-respect and others give you respect, sapa is just playing mind games. Having money doesn’t equal respect.
“Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.” – Norman Vincent Peale
Do you have a full and compassionate heart? Is sapa showing you pepper? If yes, then nothing is holding you back. Being broke does not mean you cannot do great things. Afterall, J.K Rowling did not have much until Harry Potter blew.
In the end, Comrade, na broke you broke, you no kill person. So, take it easy on yourself. In the words of Sam Loco, “Last last, everybody go dey alright.”
I know, I know… he didn’t say that. But you get the message.
